Fernwood on Vancouver Island

Fernwood is one of the more centrally located inner city communities. From our home, a walk directly downtown to Victoria's Inner Harbour should take a leisurely 30 minutes. You can walk to grocery stores, movie theatres, restaurants, the ocean and China Town, all within walking distance.

Local public tennis courts, football fields, baseball fields and outdoor tracks are all within five minutes. The local swimming pools are also located within a fifteen minute walk.

For anyone working in the downtown core, living in Fernwood means walking or biking to work year round as virtually all the busineses located in the downtown area are easily accessible by foot or bicycle. Public transport is just around the corner.

Being able to walk virtually everywhere, the Symphony Splash, Canada Day activities, The Parliament Buildings, The Inner Harbour, is an integral part of the beauty of living in the Fernwood area of Victoria.
