The Fernwood Community

Minutes from downtown Victoria, Fernwood is a thriving and diverse creative community. Our home is located just a few blocks from the Fernwood Square.

This beautifully gentrified square is the center of the community and a gathering place every Tuesday when fresh produce and organic goods are available from local growers. Home to the world-famous Belfry Theatre, the enjoyable Fernwood Inn Restaurant, the quaint corner coffee shop and a wonderful wine bar called Stage, the square is a wonderful location for weekend dinners after a show or a drink with friends at the Inn.

The streets are lined with Heritage Houses dating back between 1890 – 1912, which make for wonderful evening strolls, especially in the springtime when the cherry blossoms fill the air with beautiful colors and fragrances.

There are several good schools in the neighborhood including historic Victoria High School, an architecturally beautiful building set upon acres of land.
